When installing an interior door (with jamb) there are several things that you have to get right or watch out for. Name three of them.
Answer - (1) The door should be plumb. (2) Even gap between the door and the jamb. (3) Door lines up with the door stop so both ends make contact at the same time, while still being able to trim the door. (4) Height of the jamb - Does it go tight to the floor, raised up for carpeting, or does it have to line up with other windows or doors so the trim is at the same height? (5) How much of a gap is needed under the door itself? (6) Make sure that it isn't hinge-bound. (7) Securely attached, so the door doesn't sag.
